I'll start with one of my own conversations.

I'm sorry...but I can't remember how I know you. Do we know each
other from AA? My memory is pretty bad these days. Please remind me!

Hi Friend,
Remember me? I dated Joe Schmoe in Ann
Arbor in the early 90s. We used to pal around a bit.

Dang it...I remember that there were a few of Joe's girlfriends
that I really liked a lot. And I am so bad with names and you don't have a
photo so you are making this 40 year old brain work way too hard!! Please don't
get offended while I try to work this one out.
One girlfriend was a sweet hippy
girl with light brown curly hair. I remember that we used to hang around at
Pizza Bob's talking about life often giggling at nothing important. I think she
was also an English Major. I really liked her joie de vive.
The other
girlfriend was a super sweet hip rockabilly chick with platinum blond hair. We
used to sit around and talk about boys, girls and pop culture. I also learned
how to smooth out my elbows with the buff puff. She was always stable and fun
and taught me a lot about Cab Calloway.
So you've not got three choices. You
can say "yes, I was #1....how are you doing" or you can say
"yes, I was #2.....what's shaking..." or you can say who in the world
were those other chicks and why aren't you remembering me??? I'm really sorry
if you are going for #3 and you will need to send me a picture so my brain can
finally kick into gear and I can feel completely embarrassed for not have
remembered Then we'll have to make a date to hook up for a drink in order to
completely catch up.
Cheers.

Me,
Let me tell you that this is possibly the funniest
response I have ever received via Facebook. Luckily, I am Joe ex-girlfriend #2,
the rockabilly chick. I don't remember teaching you how to smooth out your
elbows with a buff puff....

Friend You didn't actually show me how to use the buff puff...but I
once touched your elbow and asked how you you got the skin so soft. You told me
that you used a buff puff. Yes...I remember odd things.
So how's life? What are
you up to these days?
Incidentally, I think I was kidding about the buff puff, but perhaps I've blocked it out.
